College of Engineering

Under the framework of scientific cooperation between College of Engineering at University of Mosul and the international organizations working on Reconstruction Mosul, UNESCO / Iraq Office held a seminar entitled “Revive the Spirit of Mosul by Reconstruction its Historical Monuments”.The workshop will continue for two days (February 10-11,2021). The first day included a lecture by the UNESCO expert, Engineer (Stefano De Vito), in which he dealt with the details of the structural reform of heritage buildings, in the presence of Dean of College of Engineering, Assistants Dean, heads of departments, Faculty members, and postgraduate and undergraduate students of Architecture and Civil engineering departments at Al-Furat Hall in Department of Dams and Water Resources Engineering.The second day will include a site visit for the students to Al-Nouri Mosque and Al-Hadba minaret, which the organization is supervising its reconstruction.
