Workshop in Department of Architecture Engineering on “Architecture and Society”

Department of Architecture Engineering at College of Engineering held a workshop entitled “Architecture and Society” for two days, 9-10November2021.The workshopincluded three axes, the first: anoverview of the Department of Architecture Engineering, the faculty staff and the first class of the department’s alumni.The second: therole of the Polish lecturers in Department of Architecture Engineering.The third: therole of society in the reconstruction of Mosul.
Assist. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Omary, who is also head of the department, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Dorota Woroniecka, Institute of History and Civilization, Warsaw, Poland, Dr. Oday AlChalabi participated in the topics of the workshop, and the discussion session was chaired by Dr. Omar Al-Hialy and Mr. Walid Sami as its rapporteur.
The workshop included an exhibition for projects students / Department of Architecture in theera of thePolish lecturers , which was attended byAcademic staff from college of Architecture Engineering, as well as Secretary General of the libraries in University ofMosul Mr. Saif al- Ashqar, since one of theworkshop topics included design of the Central Library of University ofMosul, a building at its founding.
