Workshop in Department of Electrical Engineering on “Strategies for Success in Answering the Questions of Thesis Defense Committees”

As part of the Scientific Research Skills Development Program for postgraduate students, and in line with College of Engineering’s efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals — particularly Goal 4, “Quality Education” , Department of Electrical Engineering organized a workshop on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, titled “Strategies for Success in Answering the Questions of Thesis Defense Committees.”
The workshop aimed to develop postgraduate students’ scientific communication skills and enhance their ability to think critically and simplify complex scientific ideas without compromising their depth or academic content. It also focused on empowering students to transform their theoretical knowledge and research methodology into an effective scientific discourse that demonstrates the originality and value of their work, while strengthening their confidence in defending their methodological and analytical decisions before thesis defense committees.
This workshop represents a significant step toward preparing researchers equipped with the essential tools to present and justify their scientific efforts with the highest levels of professionalism and competence.
The workshop was delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Omar Sharaf Al-Din Al-Yozbaki, Head of Department of Electrical Engineering.
