A Training Course by the Psychological Counseling Unit at College of Engineering on ” the Role of Academic Advising and Psychological Support in the Success of Graduation Projects “

As part of the scientific activities of College of Engineering at University of Mosul and its efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals—particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education), the Psychological Counseling Unit at College of Engineering, in cooperation with University Psychological Counseling Department at Presidency of University of Mosul and Department of Studies and Planning / Sustainable Development Unit at Presidency of University of Mosul, held a training course titled “The Role of Academic Advising and Psychological Support in the Success of Graduation Projects”.
The course took place from November 16 to November 20, 2025, in the discussion hall of the Computer Engineering Department. It was directed toward final-year undergraduate students.
The course aimed to enable final-year students to write their graduation projects using sound scientific methodology and to master academic documentation skills through source-referencing programs.
The course was delivered by:
Asst. Prof. Rabee’ Mowafaq Hajim, Lecturer Dr. Samar Ammar Yasser, Lecturer Dr. Ola Marwan Asim, Lecturer Dr. Sara Nawfal Abdulrazaq, Lecturer Dr. Maisar Idrees Ismail, and Lecturer Warkaa Younus Ibrahim.
The program included topics such as psychological support, stress management, developing a realistic timeline for completing the project, academic advising, and structuring the project. Additionally, it covered automated referencing using EndNote and Mendeley, followed by an assessment test to evaluate the participants.
