A seminar in the Department of Environmental Sciences on the inhibitory activity of broccoli extract and licorice root.
Within the directives of the Dean of the College of Environmental Sciences and Technologies, Dr. Yousra Majeed Al-Shaker, and in the presence and supervision of the Head of the Environmental Sciences Department, Professor Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim Khalil, the Environmental Sciences Department held a seminar entitled (The inhibitory effectiveness of Broccoli extract and Licorice root on some bacterial species isolated from… Various clinical and environmental samples) presented by master’s student Ahmed Kamal Ahmed on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, in the college’s discussion hall.
The lecture included an explanation of the mechanism for isolating and diagnosing stomach bacteria from people suffering from various intestinal and infectious diseases from tissue biopsies using routine culture methods, rapid detection of the urease enzyme, and detection of H.pylori antigen from the discharge of peptic ulcer patients.
