Launching the training course in the College of Environmental Sciences on applications used in climate change..

 

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Environmental Sciences, Assistant Professor Dr. Yusra Majeed Al-Shaker, the College of Environmental Sciences / Department of Climate Change, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit in the Presidency of the University of Mosul, held a training course entitled (Climate Change and Applications Used in Monitoring It), on Sunday, March 2, 2025, in the college discussion hall, which will last for five days until March 6, 2025.

– ⁠Assistant Lecturer Hanan Riyadh / College of Environmental Sciences.
– ⁠Assistant Lecturer Asmaa Mu’ayyad / College of Environmental Sciences.

The course included explaining how to monitor changes in climate elements using the Google Earth Engine platform, the concept and effects of climate change, and the use of nanotechnology to mitigate the effects of climate change, as well as the role of soil in climate change, desertification and water resource scarcity.
