Discussion of a master’s thesis in the College of Environmental Sciences related to plastic particles in street dust in the city of Mosul..
This morning, Wednesday, September 18, 2024, a master’s thesis was discussed for the student Marah Ayad Nazir Youssef Al-Mawla on her thesis entitled “Evaluation of plastic particles in street dust of selected residential and industrial areas in the city of Mosul” in the discussion hall of our college, in the presence of the Dean of the College, Dr. Yusra Majeed Al-Shaker.
The discussion committee was headed by Professor Dr. Hussein Saber Muhammad Ali and the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Alaa Muhammad Tayeb and Lecturer Dr. Muhammad Walid Saeed and the membership and supervision of Professor Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi and Lecturer Dr. Rasha Khaled Sabry.
The study included evaluating the amount of plastic particles and heavy metals in street dust for different areas (residential, commercial, industrial) on both the right and left sides of the city of Mosul.
The President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, also presented a certificate of appreciation to both Prof. Dr. Hussein Saber Muhammad Ali and Assistant Professor Dr. Alaa Muhammad Tayeb for their active participation in the discussion.
