University of Mosul ranked first in Iraq in the University Theater Festival
The University of Mosul won the first place in Iraq in the University Theater Festival organized by the Supervision and Evaluation Authority in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which was held in Babil Governorate with the participation of 27 Iraqi universities.
The College of Fine Arts participated through the Department of Theater Arts by presenting the play (The Song of the Tam) written by Antoine Chekhov and directed by the student David Zakr Toma. Acting by Hakam Manhal Muhammad and Tamara Nizar Muhammad, and in lighting by Rahma Mahmoud Zuhair, and the theatrical techniques were supervised by the lecturer Ali Nazim Abdul Sheet, a lecturer at the college.
The delegation was headed by Assistant Professor Dr. Musab Ibrahim Muhammad.
The work won the most important awards at the festival, where it was awarded:
1. Best Work Award
2. Best Actor Award for the student Hakam Manhal
3. Best Actress Award for the student Tamara Nizar.
