Towards universality is an ambition for the College of Fine Arts at the University of Mosul.
- Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Qusay Kamal El-Din Al-Ahmadi, President of the University of Mosul, and with the follow-up and presence of Prof. Dr. Nashaat Mubarak Sliwa, Dean of the College of Fine Arts, the second meeting took place today between professors from the University of Mosul and the University of Paris VIII (Sorbonne). The two sides discussed via digital means of communication today, Thursday, June 2, 2022 Several axes, the most important of which were activating cultural and artistic cooperation and training workshops in theatrical and plastic arts, cinema, music and photography, and setting a timetable for these axes starting with the beginning of the academic year 2022-2023 AD after obtaining approvals from the Presidency of Mosul University and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Focusing on the practical aspect of exchanging technical expertise and searching for various other cultures that contribute to the promotion of human values.
- The delegation of the Faculty of Fine Arts in this meeting consisted of the Dean and his scientific and administrative assistants, the head of the Department of Dramatic Arts, and Dr. Samir Riad, the teaching assistant in the Department of Dramatic Arts, who sought to activate the cultural and artistic cooperation program between the two universities through his thesis that he recently completed at the University of Paris VIII (the possibilities of theatrical work). As a worker in individual and collective reconstruction in a post-traumatic framework) the French delegation might, in turn, be the director of international relations at the aforementioned university, his assistant, the university’s cultural relations official, the university’s artistic and cultural cooperation projects official, and the fine arts professors’ official at the University of Paris VIII.
- The professors of the College of Fine Arts were keen to present an introductory overview of the University of Mosul and the College of Fine Arts by presenting a video film prepared and implemented by the Department of Relations and Media at the Presidency of the University of Mosul, which included pictures of the urban and artistic construction witnessed by the University of Mosul, especially after the liberation.
