The College of Fine Arts holds its annual festival for student productions.

Under the slogan: “When art pulsates with life and sustainability,” it becomes a means of spreading beauty and building renewed awareness. The College of Fine Arts at the University of Mosul held its annual festival on Monday, April 14, 2025. The festival took place in the college’s halls, with the participation of its various departments (the Department of Theater, the Department of Fine Arts, and the Department of Art Education).
The festival was inaugurated by the Dean of the College of Fine Arts, Professor Dr. Nashat Mubarak Saliwa, in the presence of assistants, department heads, faculty members, staff, and students.
The festival included various displays of fine art, Arabic calligraphy, ornamentation, sculpture, and handicrafts. It also featured a children’s theatrical performance titled “The Red Robe,” directed by second-year students in the Department of Art Education and supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Wissam Barbar and Professor Anwar Muhammad Zaki. For his part, the Dean of the College of Fine Arts commended the efforts made to ensure the success of the festival and advance the artistic landscape in Nineveh Governorate. It is worth noting that the festival continues until April 23, 2025, and the invitation is open to all.
