“Within the university directives for voluntary initiatives, the Human Rights Unit at the College of Fine Arts, University of Mosul, conducted a two-day voluntary course for the Juvenile Observation House for Males in Nineveh, titled (Basics of Arabic Calligraphy). The course was supervised by Dr. Karam Moayad Ahmed, along with a training team of students from the college, targeting the detained juveniles.

The course aimed to develop their artistic skills, provide them with a space for creative expression, refine their means of expression, and prepare them for positive reintegration into society after their release by enhancing self-confidence. At the conclusion of the course, the director of the center and the staff praised the importance of such initiatives for their significant impact on supporting rehabilitation programs for juveniles.
