The College of Fine Arts organizes a seminar on the “Concept of Harmony” for fine arts students.

As part of the series of academic activities aimed at developing the academic skills of art students, the Department of Fine Arts at the College of Fine Arts organized a seminar on the “Concept of Harmony,” prepared and presented by Assistant Instructor Riad Aref Hakim on Sunday, February 15, 2026.
The seminar targeted third-year students and comes within the framework of modern art teaching strategies for the “Pictorial Composition” course. The workshop sought to provide a comprehensive vision of the value of “harmony” as an essential element in constructing a work of art, and its active role in fusing the elements of form to achieve values of unity, balance, rhythm, coherence, and proportion.
The seminar was distinguished by an innovative methodological approach, in which the instructor drew a critical and aesthetic comparison linking the concept of harmony in musical structure with its counterpart in visual structure.
