Fine Arts College in Mosul organizes a workshop on mechanisms for transitioning to the Bologna system

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmood Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Hamid Ibrahim Al-Rashidi, Dean of the College of Fine Arts, the college held its fourth applied workshop on Sunday, March 15, 2026, titled “Transitioning to the Bologna System: Adopting Course Specifications.”
The workshop, attended by the Dean of the College and several members of the Bologna System Sub-Committee, featured academic presentations delivered by Assist. Prof. Dr. Omar Mohammed Jandari, Assist. Prof. Firdows Behnam Yishou, and Lecturer Noor Khalif Mahmood.
The workshop focused on overcoming the technical and administrative challenges facing the implementation of the Bologna system across the college’s departments, which is scheduled to come into effect in the upcoming academic year. It also highlighted the importance of adopting “course specifications” as a fundamental pillar for enhancing the quality of higher education, in alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 4 and 17).
