The Women’s Affairs Unit, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Fine Arts, held a lecture entitled “The Role of Women in Contemporary Arts and Men’s Support for Them” on Monday, December 29, 2025.

The lecture was attended by the Scientific Associate and a number of college staff members. It was delivered by:

• Prof. Dr. Mayadah Majeed Al-Bajlan, Head of the Women’s Affairs Unit

• Assist. Lecturer Younis Mohammed Younis, Nineveh Education Directorate

The lecture aimed to highlight the role of women as an essential and guiding factor in shaping artistic discourse, their pivotal role across various fields of contemporary arts, their capacity for creativity and innovation, and their contribution to addressing humanitarian and societal issues, in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 5: Gender Equality.
