Department of MedicineDepartment of medicine was established in 1962, and It's teaching staff at the beginning of the establishment of non-Iraqis, and until the end of the sixties, the number of its members from the Iraqi no more than four of our professors, then the department developed by the efforts of those who support it and it now has26 of academic member in various specialties of internal medicine, psychiatry and dermatology in addition to "20 doctors" joined mostly the academic staff during the last four years to qualify to be academic member in the future. Department of medicine cover all the theoretical and clinical lectures and panel discussions in internal medicine and its branches for students in the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th classes and supervise the training of students Iraqi board and Arab in internal medicine and psychiatry, and shared some of its members in the training of students board certified in emergency medicine and family medicine and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.The department supervises the study Higher Diploma in diseases of the joints and medical rehabilitation, which has been re-opened since 2009, also approved the development of the study of the Higher Diploma in Internal Medicine
