The department’s vision is to excel in education and research in microbiology and immunology.
*Mission*
To provide a suitable educational environment that enables students and researchers to achieve academic and practical excellence in microbiology and immunology, and to prepare doctors who are knowledgeable in these fields.
*Objectives*
– Enrich students’ knowledge and skills in various aspects of microbiology and immunology.
– Provide distinctive education in microbiology and immunology, and train students to solve societal challenges in the field of infectious diseases.
– Contribute to achieving the university’s and college’s mission by participating in awareness-raising to enhance the community’s understanding of the importance of microbiology and immunology.
*About the Department*
The Department of Microbiology is one of the basic departments in the College of Medicine at the University of Mosul. It was established in 1962 and became independent in the academic year 1964/1965.
