The graduation thesis of the Iraqi Board student (Mosul Centre) in Paediatrics Ahmed S. Al-Diwachi discussed thyroid disorders in patients with insulin-dependent diabetes in the city of Mosul on Wednesday 9th February 2022.The aim of the research is to find the relationship between type 1 diabetes in children and adolescents and thyroid disorders, highlighting the feasibility of conducting periodic examination of the thyroid gland for diabetic patients.It was found that there is a significant percentage of diabetic patients who are clinically and laboratoryly diagnosed with (underactive) thyroid disorders.The discussion committee consisted of Prof Dr Lamya' A.
