A medical scientific symposium was held on how to deal with serious complications following bacterial infections, on Tuesday, 2nd February 2021. A number of specialists in paediatrics, paediatric surgery and general surgery from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Mosul and the Nineveh Health Department attended. The symposium discussed two important topics: blood infections in premature infants and children (under 3 years old), focusing on the latest developments in the diagnosis and treatment of these cases as well as how to reduce these infections and ways to prevent them.
