…….
As part of the efforts by the Mosul Studies Center—led by its director, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Nizar Al-Dabbagh—to encourage faculty members to engage in collaborative book authorship and document the lives of cultural and scientific figures who have left a lasting impact, a new book has been published. Titled *Narratives of Ali Hussein Zeinal: The Openness of Vision and the Dialectics of Formation*, the work features contributions from a group of academics and intellectuals from Iraq and Algeria. Among the contributors is Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Ahmed Al-Obeidi, Head of the Department of Literary Studies and Documentation at the Center, who authored a study titled: “Manifestations of Place in the Novel *A Deranged Man in a Café* by Ali Hussein Zeinal.” The book was published by Nerkal Press in Mosul (2026). It includes a foreword and a contribution by Professor Dr. Khalil Shukri Hayyas, and was compiled by Muzaffar Al-Abdullah. This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goals 4, 16, and 17.
