Remote Sensing Center Launches Tree-Planting Campaign on National Arbor Day

In celebration of National Arbor Day, the staff of the Remote Sensing Center participated this Thursday, March 12, 2026, in a comprehensive tree-planting campaign across the university corridors and the vicinity of the Student Center. This initiative is part of the National Campaign aimed at fostering a culture of afforestation and addressing climate change challenges. Led by the Director of the Center along with research and administrative staff, the campaign involved planting olive trees and various perennial seedlings. This effort underscores the Center’s commitment to its environmental responsibility, its role in supporting national initiatives, and the promotion of sustainable development. Furthermore, it aims to contribute to mitigating the effects of global warming and raising awareness about the vital importance of preserving and expanding green spaces.
