United Nations Public Service Day _ College of law

The College of Law at the University of Mosul has been achieving community communication by recalling international days related to the life of the individual and society

Among these days is the United Nations Public Service Day, which falls on the twenty-third of June of each year, which was determined by the General Assembly of the United Nations in its resolution No. 57/27 in 2003, where this day has a moral and humanitarian value given that public service is considered The basis for building any society, in addition to considering it a practical means to develop talents and human capabilities in the field of specialization and push for creativity and excellence by creating new practical theories that contribute to shortening the effort and time required to complete the required work, in addition to its role in the administrative construction process and achieving sustainable development in the areas of general and precise specialization. This day has a major role in stimulating youth energies towards innovation and capacity development in a way that encourages involvement in the fields of work in its various sectors, whether public, private or mixed so that they have an effective contribution to consolidating the values ​​and principles of advancement and development in national and international societies, as the state plays, represented by its government. And its various bodies within its three authorities have a pivotal role in motivating individuals to engage in public office and work according to their specialization in providing basic services. In general, this is due to the social, economic and cultural benefits it offers to its affiliates and employees commensurate with the effort expended to provide workers with a decent life commensurate with the financial capabilities of the state and in compliance with internal and international laws, decisions, instructions and recommendations.

The set of public services provided by the state to its citizens can be summarized by those services affiliated with the public sector in the state, and organized by it, such as the electric power sector (street lighting, public squares, electrical power delivery to homes, public and private facilities), and water networks (dam construction, water networks). In all regions of the country, digging artesian wells for the purpose of collecting rainwater to fill the shortage in the dry seasons), the infrastructure (constructing roads, paving them, and restoring them from time to time, building sewage channels, bridges, and tunnels), and the education sector (constructing public schools). , universities, institutes, and colleges specialized in all fields), the health sector (building hospitals, medical centers, laboratories, and clinics), and the security and protection sector (public security, police, and civil defense). This concept also includes the services that individuals provide to each other. some within an organized group; Such as school or university students in organizing voluntary campaigns to provide a public service to another group of individuals in need of these services, without regard to any ethnic, religious or sectarian considerations so that these services are organized with the intention of providing aid to needy groups and helping them to meet their needs

In this context, the Faculty of Law, as it salutes all workers in the public service and calls on all state institutions to support this service, it evokes the active role played by health sector workers in their continuous pursuit and tireless dedication in the face of the repercussions of the Corona pandemic, a tribute to the white armies and all cadres public service
