A Landmark Scientific Achievement – First in Iraq and Second Worldwide by Researchers from the College of Science
Mayss Abdulnafea2025-09-09T05:58:19+00:00In a remarkable scientific accomplishment that adds to the record of achievements of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Israa Ghanem Hazem Al-Sammak and Master’s student Tayba Nashwan Salem Taha successfully registered the complete genomic sequence of Brachybacterium epidermidis TE.iq, isolated from the conjunctiva of newborn children in Mosul City. This registration is considered the first of its kind locally and the second worldwide in the NCBI GenBank.
