Reception of first-stage students admitted to the physics department

With all love and pride, and with steps that carry hope for a bright scientific future, the Physics department at the College of science has received a new constellation of first-stage students, to begin an important chapter of their academic life in the midst of Science and knowledge. The ceremony was sponsored by the dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Hiam Adel al-Taii, and within the framework of the college’s keenness to prepare new students and enhance academic communication with them.

This ceremony aims to introduce students to the department and its teaching staff, consolidate their sense of belonging, and create a positive atmosphere that encourages them to excel and excel. The main objectives of the celebration were as follows:

  • Welcoming first-stage students and integrating them into university life.
  • Introduce them to the study system and basic University instructions.
  • Familiarizing students with the structure of the physics department and its scientific staff.
  • Motivate them to strive and raise their scientific levels.
  • Promote the spirit of cooperation and belonging to the Department.

The ceremony included a number of special events, including:

  • Welcome speech by Mr. head of Department

Assistant prof. Dr. Samir Mahmoud Ahmed welcomed the students, stressing the Department’s keenness to support their scientific career and wishing them a successful academic year.

  • A brief introduction to the specialization of physics and its future prospects in multiple fields.
  • Provide academic guidance related to the study system, laboratories, and compliance with University laws.
  • Conducting fun physics experiments to ignite students ‘ passion for science and enhance their positive interaction.
