Closing Ceremony Embodies the Success of “Sustainable University Week 2026” Organized by the Department of Science and Technology Parks

Under the sponsorship of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and under the supervision of the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Abdulrahim Ibrahim Jasim, the Department of Science and Technology Parks at the Presidency of the University of Mosul concluded on Thursday, 30 April 2026, the activities of “Sustainable University Week 2026” with a distinguished closing ceremony.

The event was attended by a representative team from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, including the Director of the Student Activities Department, Mr. Hasanin Al-Shadidi, as well as several members of the University Council, academic staff, and students.

The closing ceremony marked the culmination of a week full of scientific, cultural, and environmental activities organized by the Department of Science and Technology Parks, aimed at spreading the culture of sustainability, enhancing environmental awareness, and supporting youth and creative talents within the university.

The ceremony included honoring the winners of Science Day awards, distinguished researchers, and top students for the academic year 2024–2025. It also featured the announcement of the results of the “Sustainable University Week” competitions and the distribution of appreciation awards to participants and contributors to the success of the event.

The event concluded with honoring the organizing committees and supporting entities, reflecting the magnitude of efforts invested in the success of this university event. It also reaffirmed the commitment of the Department of Science and Technology Parks to embedding sustainability concepts and strengthening the university’s role as a leading academic institution contributing to a more sustainable and innovative future.
