The Department of Science and Technology Parks – Entrepreneurship Division Holds a Workshop at the College of Fine Arts to Support Women’s Entrepreneurship

As part of the efforts of the University of Mosul to promote the concepts of entrepreneurship and sustainable development, the Entrepreneurship Division at the Department of Science and Technology Parks, in cooperation with the Entrepreneurship Unit at the College of Fine Arts, University of Mosul, organized a workshop entitled: “Cultural and Social Challenges Facing Women’s Entrepreneurship,” with the participation of a number of students and graduates of the college.
The workshop included scientific and interactive discussion sessions presented by Assistant Professor Zeina Salem, Lecturer Ruaida Wad Allah, and Assistant Lecturer Jinan Abdul Razzaq. The lectures addressed the most prominent cultural and social challenges faced by women in the field of entrepreneurship, while also highlighting the importance of supporting women-led projects and empowering women economically and socially.
The workshop emphasized that women’s entrepreneurship represents an economic and developmental necessity that contributes to achieving comprehensive development, in addition to its active role in enhancing innovation and creating job opportunities, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals and strengthening women’s participation in building and developing society.
The workshop also showed that the participants exhibited extensive interaction, as they discussed a number of entrepreneurial ideas and initiatives aimed at supporting women’s talents and encouraging them to enter the labor market and the field of entrepreneurship with confidence and competence.
