A workshop entitled “New Lights on the Concepts of Some Terms in Cuneiform and Civilizational Studies”
on Tuesday, April 4, 2023,The College of Archaeology/ University of Mosul, in the hall of Dr. Behnam Abu Al-Souf, held a workshop entitled “New Lights on the Concepts of Some Terms in Cuneiform and Civilizational Studies”. The workshop was delivered by Prof. Khaled Salem Ismail, a teaching staff in the Department of Iraqi Ancient Languages.
The workshop sheds light on the developments of the most important and latest information approved in international sources and investigations in the disciplines of Archeology and Assyriology, as well as civilizational studies and ancient history and their compatibility with the curricula approved in colleges and departments of archaeology in Iraq, whether related to postgraduate or undergraduate studies, as well as dealing with the most important terms of modern archaeology that must be followed in antiquities and civilization research. The workshop also dealt with the modernization of the approved dates for the ages. The historical and civilization of Mesopotamia and the importance of revising and updating curricula of antiquities and ancient Iraqi languages in line with the development taking place in international universities
