An online workshop at the College of Archaeology entitled (DAAD Funding Opportunities for Iraqi Students and Researchers)

The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Archaeology at the University of Mosul held the workshop entitled: (DAAD funding opportunities for Iraqi students and researchers)

(DAAD Funding Opportunities for Iraqi Students and Scientists)

Under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Archaeology, Assistant Professor Dr. Yasmine Abdel Karim Muhammad Ali, and with the participation of the emeritus professor Dr. Nawala Ahmed Al-Metwally and Assistant Professor Dr. Yasser Jaber Khalil, Assistant Dean of the College of Archeology for Scientific Affairs, on Sunday, June 18, 2023, in the hall of Dr. Behnam Abu Al-Souf in the College of Archeology, in person and via… online on the Google Meet platform. Part of it was attended by Professor Dr. Munir Salem Taha, Assistant to the University President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Nazim Shaker Al-Wattar, head of the German Corner at the University of Mosul, and a number of college professors and students and those interested in this subject.

It was delivered by Ms. Joan Khalil, Program Coordinator at the DAAD Information Unit in Iraq/ Erbil, and interpreted by Assistant Lecturer Mushtaq Abdullah Jameel. The speaker discussed the grants offered by the organization and supported by the German government and the European Union, and the mechanism for applying for them. It includes long-term scholarships (postgraduate studies/master’s and doctoral studies) for Iraqi students and short-term scholarships for Iraqi researchers. In her presentation, she indicated the websites where one can learn about the organization and the mechanism for applying to it.
