Participation of the Dean of the college of Archeology in the Reading Day celebration in Iraq

The Dean of the college of Archaeology, Professor Dr. Yasmine Abdel Karim Muhammad Ali, participated in a lecture on the history of writing in Mesopotamia on Sunday, March 3, 2024, in the celebration organized by the Federal Service Council on the occasion of Reading Day in Iraq and under the slogan (Iraq Reads), which was organized under the patronage of the President of the Public Service Council. Federal Professor Mahmoud Al-Tamimi. During her participation in this ceremony, the Dean of the College stressed the importance of reading books and promoting the culture of acquiring and reading them, which is considered everyone’s responsibility in supporting all public institutions and sectors. The two parties discussed the possibility of increasing the percentage of those appointed from specializations in antiquities and tourism sciences, during which she presented the reasons. Explaining the country’s need for this specialization as it has a long history and civilizations.
