Professor Steffen Maul attends the College Council.

Professor Steffen Maul, Director of the Institute of Assyriological Studies at the University of Heidelberg and Head of the German Excavation Mission, attended the College of Archaeology Council’s ninth open session. During the meeting, the most important aspects related to the implementation of the joint scientific cooperation agreement between the University of Mosul, represented by the College of Archaeology, and the University of Heidelberg, Germany, represented by Professor Steffen Maul, were addressed.
During the meeting, Maul reviewed the most important achievements of this agreement, most notably the training of our college students over the past two years in Akkadian grammar and cuneiform writing, which has resulted in valuable benefits for the students.
The meeting also included the idea of ​​training our college students in archaeological excavations and conservation, which will be implemented next year.
On the other hand, the College of Archaeology, represented by Professor Dr. Yasmin Abdul Karim Muhammad Ali, Dean of the College, and the members of the Council, praised the valuable efforts made by the German mission and its achievements for our students and the college.
