Lecture at the University of Duhok

Professor Dr. Yasmin Abdulkarim Mohammed Ali, Dean of the College of Archaeology, delivered a lecture at the College of Fine Arts, University of Duhok, entitled “Perspective and its Applications in Wall Sculptures.” The lecture addressed the concept of perspective and relief sculpture, as well as narrative and storytelling scenes, and the three methods of depicting scenes in wall sculptures. A question and answer session followed. A meeting was also held between Professor Dr. Yasmin Abdulkarim Mohammed Ali, Dean of the College of Archaeology at the University of Mosul, and Dr. Ayoub Ramadan Fattah, Dean of the College of Fine Arts at the University of Duhok. The two discussed potential collaboration and exploring new avenues for strengthening the twinning agreement between the two institutions. In addition, the Dean and her accompanying delegation toured several of the college’s facilities, including the theater, where they observed a student performance of a play, as well as the art studio, the fine arts workshop, and the classrooms.
