Archaeology Students Achieve Excellence in University of Mosul Formations Marathon

Under the direct supervision and support of the Dean of the College of Archaeology, Professor Dr. Yasmin Abdul Karim Mohammed Ali, the College of Archaeology participated in the University of Mosul Formations Marathon, organized by the Department of Science and Technology Parks at the University of Mosul in cooperation with the Incubator, Training, and Employment Unit at the College of Archaeology, and sponsored by Zakaa Group.

The competition was held on Monday, March 30, 2026, and witnessed the participation of a select group of students from the college who delivered outstanding performances reflecting their scientific abilities and cognitive skills.

The College of Archaeology team achieved victory in the first stage of the competition after a distinguished contest with the College of Tourism Sciences. This achievement reflects the advanced academic level of the college’s students and their keenness to actively participate in the scientific and cultural activities organized by the university. Professor Dr. Mahmoud Hamed, Head of the Training and Employment Unit, and Dr. Layal Khalil, Head of the Electronic Incubator Unit, attended the competition.

This achievement confirms the prestigious academic standing of the students of the Faculty of Archaeology, and the role of the faculty in supporting young talents and encouraging students to be creative and excel in various scientific and intellectual fields.
