An Awareness Lecture on Combating Financial and Administrative Corruption

As part of the activities of the College of Archaeology/University of Mosul in the fight against corruption, the College’s Committee for Combating Financial and Administrative Corruption held an awareness lecture on combating financial and administrative corruption – legal and administrative aspects – on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Ayad Dhunoun Younis, Assistant Dean of the College of Archaeology for Administrative Affairs. The lecture covered introductory information on the phenomena of corruption according to the following axes: financial, administrative, and legal. It also addressed the reasons for its spread and its impact on the integrity of public office, as well as its negative impact on the administrative system and society in general. Finally, the lecture discussed methods of combating corruption through fulfilling basic requirements in government institutions, working positively, and activating the role of the media in monitoring corruption. The target audience for this workshop was the staff and faculty of the College of Archaeology. This lecture contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals: Goal 4: New Education, and Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth.
