The University of Mosul concluded its Sustainable Development Week with a ceremony honoring committees.

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, the University of Mosul held the closing ceremony for Sustainable Development Week on Thursday, April 30, 2026, in the Dr. Mahmoud Al-Jalili Hall. The event was attended by a distinguished group of academics, deans of colleges, university staff, and students, in an atmosphere that reflected a spirit of cooperation and commitment to sustainable development.

The ceremony began with the honoring of deans. Professor Dr. Yasmin Abdulkarim Mohammed Ali, Dean of the College of Archaeology, was honored by the University President in recognition of her outstanding efforts and active role in Sustainable Development Week, as well as her contribution to enhancing the college’s presence in this field.

Mr. Khalaf Ahmed Saleh, a member of the Central Committee for Sustainable Development, was also honored, along with a number of students. This recognition reflects the university’s commitment to supporting and motivating students to continue achieving scientific accomplishments that serve the goals of sustainable development.
