College of Archaeology

The College of Archaeology welcomed a scientific visit from students of Al-Baqi’ Elementary School for Boys, along with several members of the school staff, on Tuesday, December 25, 2025. They were received by Professor Dr. Yasmin Abdul Karim Muhammad Ali, Dean of the College, Dr. Yasser Jaber, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, and a number of faculty members. The scientific visit aimed to foster intellectual and cultural exchange between educational institutions within the Ministries of Education and Higher Education, with the goal of introducing students to the importance and value of antiquities, methods of preservation, and the art of writing using cuneiform script.

The students toured the college’s facilities and visited the Student Activities Department, where they learned about cuneiform seals and clay tablets.
