The master’s thesis by researcher Ali Khudair Al-Louizi was discussed on Wednesday morning, 29/6/2022. The title of the thesis is (Islamic pottery in the city of Balad (Eskimosul) in light of archaeological excavations. Selected Samples.The city of Balad (Eskimosul) is considered as one of the important cities in the Abbasid era and its fame increased in the fifth and sixth centuries AH. The study relied on models that were archived in the stores of the Iraqi Museum, which the researcher studied, drew and photographed them. These samples are studied for the first time. Through the study, it was found that Balad has its own style of industry in terms of quality and decoration, as it produced all kinds of pottery, including pots, jars, barbutin beads, zamzamats and lamps.
