The College of Basic Education at the University of Mosul / Department of Geography, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, organized a scientific course entitled:
“Water Scarcity and Its Impact on Agricultural Lands.”
The course was held from February 22 to 24, 2026, in the halls of the Department of Geography.

The course was presented by:
• Prof. Dr. Qais Hammadi Al-Obaidi
• Asst. Prof. Bashar Farouq Karim
• Lecturer Dr. Mohammed Tariq Hamed
• Asst. Lecturer Muhannad Hamdoun Jargis

The course aimed to explain the causes of water scarcity and its effects on agricultural lands, as well as to present modern methods for managing water resources and reducing soil degradation and the decline in agricultural production.
