Master’s Thesis at the College of Basic Education on “Reality and Imagination in the Narratives of Waleed Al-Sarraj: A Study of Narrative Transformations”

 

The Department of Arabic Language at the College of Basic Education, University of Mosul, discussed a master’s thesis entitled “Reality and Imagination in the Narratives of Waleed Al-Sarraj: A Study of Narrative Transformations.” The thesis was submitted by Hiba Arbi‘ Owaid, and the discussion was held on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Umm Al-Rabi‘ain Hall at the College of Basic Education.

The thesis examined the mechanisms through which reality and imagination are constructed within the selected narratives, with the aim of identifying their representations. It also explored the most prominent narrative techniques employed by the writer in constructing his narrative discourse.
