Master’s Thesis at the College of Basic Education on “Alienation and Isolation in the Novels Sakaker Al-Burgus and Qaa’ Mutashabik by Salem Saleh Sultan”
A Master’s thesis entitled “Alienation and Isolation in the Novels Sakaker Al-Burgus and Qaa’ Mutashabik by Salem Saleh Sultan” was defended at the Department of Arabic Language, College of Basic Education, University of Mosul, by the student Muna Mahmoud Younis, on Sunday, August 23, 2026, in Al-Hadbaa Hall at the College.
The thesis explored the manifestations of alienation and isolation in the novels Sakaker Al-Burgus and Qaa’ Mutashabik, and examined their impact on the formation of the characters and the intellectual and artistic vision of the two novels. The study analyzed various forms of alienation, including social, psychological, economic, and spatial alienation, as well as the resulting forms of isolation and the different responses to them.
