Vision, mission, and objectives

Vision:

Achieving excellence in preparing general science teachers, physics, chemistry and life sciences teachers, as well as promoting scientific research in pure sciences and activating community service in order to bring the department to the status of advanced scientific departments at the national and regional levels.

mission:

Preparing a specialized university teacher with a balanced personality, aware of his national, educational and professional role, armed with general knowledge, specialized knowledge, good behavior and adopting the ethics of the educational profession, preparing him to keep pace with contemporary life in light of the data of modern technology and providing him with skills that qualify him to perform his assigned tasks in basic schools in general pure sciences with their branches and specializations (physics – chemistry – life sciences).

Objectives:

  •  Providing students with scientific knowledge related to pure sciences.
  • Developing scientific skills in using scientific laboratories.
  • Enhancing students’ comprehension scientific research.
  • Developing overall performance capabilities in teaching general sciences in basic education stages and teaching chemistry, physics and life sciences in basic education.
  • Developing the performance of faculty members in the department by activating scientific research and reviewing contemporary developments in the fields of pure sciences.
  • Working to spread scientific thought based on the problem-solving strategy and promoting it in society through continuing education programs.
