Master’s thesis in the College of Basic Education on (Identity in the Novels of Imad Al-Din Khalil).

The College of Basic Education at the University of Mosul discussed a master’s thesis on (Identity in the Novels of Imad al-Din Khalil), on Tuesday 9/16/2025 in the (Umm al-Rabi’in) Hall in the college. Part of it was attended by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Raad Ibrahim, and the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Ammar Badr al-Hilali, and a number of the department’s lecturers.

The thesis submitted by the student (Ansam Subhan Muhammad Zidane) from the Arabic Language Department / Literature Specialization, aimed to analyze identity in the novels of Imad Al-Din Khalil according to thematic and artistic studies.

The study addressed several axes, including:
religious identity, cultural, civilizational and social identity, temporal identity, spatial identity and visionary identity.

The study reached several results, including: Each of Imad Al-Din Khalil’s novels has a special identity based on a specific time and place in terms of the Islamic era, the Mongol invasion period, and the Shawwaf Revolt, while the writer varied the place between Mecca, Medina, Baghdad, and Mosul.
The discussion committee was chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus Saleh Al-Juraisi, and the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Abdul Ghaffar Abdul Jabbar Omar Al-Banna, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim Abdullah Al-Jumaili, and Professor Dr. Nabhan Hassoun Abdullah Al-Saadoun as a member and supervisor.
