A Historical Study” on Monday, March 9, 2026, in Umm Al-Rabeein Hall at the college. The thesis was presented by the student Abdulrahman Rifai Fathi from the Department of History / Modern History specialization. It examined the economic conditions in Turkey during the period 1939–1950. The importance of this study lies in shedding light on the economic conditions that Turkey experienced during this period, which was framed by two major events: the outbreak of World War II and the end of the rule of the Republican People’s Party and the rise of the Democrat Party to power.
This period is considered a crucial stage that witnessed deep transformations linked to the exceptional international circumstances imposed by World War II and the subsequent restructuring of the global economic system.
The study also examined various economic sectors and followed a chronological sequence in presenting events and facts, organizing them according to the subject matter in each chapter of the study.
The discussion committee was chaired by Professor Dr. Imad Abdulaziz Yousif, with membership of Professor Dr. Maher Hamed Jasim and Assistant Professor Dr. Afrah Nather Jasim, under the supervision and membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Ammar Dhaher Muslih.
