College of Basic Education Discusses Master’s Thesis on the Strategic Flexibility of the Nineveh Directorate of Youth and Sports and Its Role in Organizational Sustainability

 

The College of Basic Education at the University of Mosul discussed a Master’s thesis entitled “The Strategic Flexibility of the Nineveh Directorate of Youth and Sports and Its Role in Organizational Sustainability from the Perspective of Its Employees” on Monday, June 29, 2026, in Umm Al-Rabeein Hall at the college.

The thesis, presented by Ms. Rahma Mahmoud Amin Taha, aimed to assess the level of strategic flexibility within the Nineveh Directorate of Youth and Sports and examine its role in enhancing organizational sustainability from the perspective of the Directorate’s employees. The study also sought to analyze the relationship between the dimensions of strategic flexibility and organizational sustainability, as well as to identify the extent to which strategic flexibility contributes to strengthening the institution’s ability to adapt to administrative and organizational changes, ensure the continuity of performance, and improve institutional efficiency.

The study concluded that strategic flexibility is one of the key administrative factors that enables youth and sports institutions to achieve organizational sustainability. It enhances adaptability, improves decision-making efficiency, supports the continuity of programs and activities, and contributes to raising the overall standard of administrative performance within the Nineveh Directorate of Youth and Sports. The findings also emphasized the importance of adopting flexible management practices to build a sustainable organizational environment capable of continuous development and responding effectively to change.

The examination committee was chaired by Professor Dr. Waleed Khalid Hammam and included Dr. Ahmed Raad Ibrahim, Dr. Hassan Khudair Mohammed, and Dr. Yasser Bazil Mohammed, who also served as the thesis supervisor.
