Master’s Thesis at the College of Basic Education on “The Representation of Gender in Fairy Tales”

 

A Master’s thesis in English Language was discussed at the College of Basic Education, University of Mosul, entitled “The Representation of Gender in English and Arabic Fairy Tales: A Comparative Linguistic and Cultural Analysis,” on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, in the College of Political Science Hall.

The study, submitted by Zainab Ammar Hashim, aimed to analyze the representation of gender in English and Arabic fairy tales and compare the roles and portrayals of female and male characters in order to identify the linguistic and cultural similarities and differences between them.

The discussion committee consisted of:
