A Master’s thesis entitled “The Grammatical Interpretations of al-Karmani (d. 786 AH) in al-Suyuti’s ʿUqud al-Zabarjad (d. 911 AH)” was discussed at the Department of Arabic Language, College of Basic Education, University of Mosul. The thesis was submitted by Mahmoud Bashar Khalaf Mahmoud on Thursday, August 13, 2026, in the Umm al-Rabi‘ain Hall at the College of Basic Education.

The thesis focused on collecting Imam al-Karmani’s grammatical interpretations from Imam al-Suyuti’s book ʿUqud al-Zabarjad. It examined and classified these interpretations, covering cases involving one or more possible grammatical analyses, along with various grammatical issues. The study also sought to examine the impact of al-Karmani’s grammatical parsing and assess the extent to which he successfully employed his interpretations in ʿUqud al-Zabarjad ʿala Musnad al-Imam Ahmad.
