The College of Basic Education holds a workshop entitled “Leadership Entrepreneurship for the University Teacher.”

The College of Basic Education / Entrepreneurship Unit organized a workshop entitled “Leadership Excellence in University Teaching” on Tuesday, October 6, 2026. The workshop aimed to highlight the importance of entrepreneurial leadership in enhancing academic performance and fostering innovation within the university environment.

The workshop addressed the concept of entrepreneurial leadership as an advanced leadership style in which the university educator combines academic competence with an entrepreneurial spirit. In this role, the educator’s responsibility extends beyond merely imparting knowledge and information to acting as a catalyst for innovation, a guide toward capitalizing on opportunities, and a creator of a flexible learning environment that encourages students to engage in creative thinking and practical problem-solving.

Furthermore, the workshop emphasized that the entrepreneurial university educator is not merely a transmitter of information, but an architect of their students’ futures and a leader who contributes to achieving positive, sustainable change within the educational system. This is accomplished by adopting creative ideas, nurturing students’ capabilities, and empowering them to face challenges and shape the future.

This workshop comes as part of the College of Basic Education’s ongoing efforts to promote a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation, as well as to develop the leadership capabilities of faculty members, thereby contributing to the advancement of higher education and the attainment of academic development and sustainability goals.
