Vision, Mission, and Objective

Vision: To activate students’ historical knowledge and create a comprehensive historical image that can be disseminated throughout society. Develop historical thought in accordance with a critical approach based on nurturing a critical mind among the department’s students.

Mission: To develop intellectual capabilities among History Department students that enable them to acquire historical knowledge, ideas, and texts. This cognitive acquisition should be accompanied by the development of a sense of historical criticism based on an induction of historical facts across its various temporal periods.

Objectives:
– To prepare history teachers and instructors in primary education.
– To prepare a select group of outstanding history students from the department to complete their graduate studies.
– To train history teachers and instructors in practical application through frequent visits to historical landmarks and their significance.
– To prepare research and studies related to ancient, Islamic, modern, and contemporary history, enhancing the         relevant literature.
– To evaluate studies published in the field of history and express opinions on their content.
