Discussion of a higher diploma dissertation in the College of Computer Science and Mathematics – Software DepartmentOn Wednesday, March 23, 2022, the College of Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Mosul discussed the Higher Diploma Thesis (Using swarm intelligence in removing noise from color images and comparing it with traditional methods.) by Marwa Kedar Majeed, under the supervision of Prof. M. Hanan Hamed Ali.The study touched on the use of three traditional methods and comparing them with an intelligent method, which is the swarm intelligence (PSO) method, and then comparing the results among them to show the best algorithm for noise removal.The study aims to use efficient algorithms to remove noise and distortions in color images so that the resulting images are as close as possible to the original images.The discussion committee consisted of: Prof. Dr. Laheeb Mohamed Ibrahim – Chairman, Ass. Prof. Dr. Jamal Salah El-Din Majid – Member and Ass. Prof. Hanan Hamed Ali – member and supervisor.
