Hybrid Modified Swarm Optimization Algorithms with HMM for Pattern Recognition

Discussion of a master’s thesis in the College of Computer Science and Mathematics – Department of Mathematics Sciences entitled:Hybrid Modified Swarm Optimization Algorithms with HMM for Pattern RecognitionIn continuation of the scientific research movement and with the follow-up and presence of the Dean of the College of Computer Science and MathematicsProf. Dr. Duha Bashir Abdullah The esteemedIt was discussed in the discussion room at the Faculty of Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Mosul on Wednesday 31/10/2022Master’s thesis by studentNawafNasirRashoQassim , under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Ban Ahmed Mitras. Intelligent technologies are among the most advanced applications of artificial intelligence and these technologies include evolutionary algorithms, neural networks, fuzzy logic, and hybrid techniques. The thesis dealt with the study of some branches of Artificial Intelligence, which is swarm intelligence, represented by the Emperor Penguins Colony, the Gray Wolf Algorithm, and the Arithmetic Optimization Algorithm. We have proposed new hybrid algorithms:

  1. Hybrid Emperor Penguin Colony Algorithm with Arithmetic Optimization Algorithm
  2. Hybrid Grey Wolf Algorithm with Arithmetic Optimization AlgorithmThen we linked these hybrid algorithms with hidden Markov models to distinguish patterns by using them to identify the iris image and then compare the results for all the new algorithms, and more efficient results were obtained compared to the original algorithm.1-Prof. Dr. Bassem Abbas Hassan / Chief2- Associate Dr.NizarKhalaf Hussein/ Member3-Associate Anam Abdel Moneim Abdel Meguid/ Member4- Professor Dr. Ban Ahmed Mitras/ Advisor and Member
