Discussion of a Doctorial Dissertation  in the College of Computer Science and Mathematics – Department of Mathematics Sciences entitled:Fuzzy Estimations in Spatial Statistics

Discussion of a Doctorial Dissertation in the College of Computer Science and Mathematics – Department of Mathematics Sciences entitled:Fuzzy Estimations in Spatial StatisticsIn continuation of the scientific research movement and with the follow-up and presence of the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Mathematics Prof. Dr. Duha Bashir Abdullah The esteemedIt was discussed in the discussion room at the Faculty of Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Mosul on Wednesday 3/11/2022 Doctorial Dissertation by student JaufarMousa Mohammed, under the supervision ofProf .Dr. Maysoon M. Azizand Asst .Prof .Dr. AmerFadhilTawfeeThe thesis dealt theoretical formulation of spatial regression models for spatial fuzzy data dependent and independent variables, assuming crisp parameter values on the one hand, and proposed method for dealing with it practically presented On the other hand, It was supported by a comparison of two methods of estimating the parameters by ordinary least squares and maximum likelihood .Four models were studied, represented fuzzy model of Fuzzy Pure Spatial Autoregressive Model (FPSAM) , Fuzzy Lagged Independent Variable Model (FLIVM) , Fuzzy Spatial Lag Model (FSLM) or ( FSAR) and Fuzzy Spatial Error Model (FSEM) , We used two methods, The first method, the experimental side, consisted of studying the effect of the number of the regresser variables in the procedure estimation process and studying the effect of sample size and the stability of the number of variables in the estimation process, The second method is an applied aspect, which represents the number of spatial deaths as a result of traffic accidents for six Iraqi cities for the year 2018,it is Fuzzyfication to trapezoidal fuzzy number, and by centroid method converted to crisp data which applied to the four models, the criterion root mean square error (RMSE) and adjusted determinant coefficient was used to compare the estimation methods to determine the best estimation method, The results showed that the practical side was equal to the experimental side, FSAR model was an appropriate preference for the applied data and according to the ordinary least squares method. The discussion committee consisted of:1- Prof. Dr. Abdulghafoor Jassim Salim – Chairman2- Prof. Dr. ZakariyaYahyaAlgamal – Member3- Prof. Dr. Omar Saber Qasim – Member4- Associate Prof. Dr. Mohammed N.I.Qassim – Member5- Associate Prof. Dr. Azher Abbas Mohammad – Member6- Prof. Dr. Dr. Maysoon M.
