master’s thesis Entitled (Classification of Software Requirements Using Deep Learning)
Discussion of a master’s thesis in the College of Computer Science and Mathematics – Software DepartmentEntitled (Classification of Software Requirements Using Deep Learning)In continuation of the movement of scientific research and in the presence and follow-up of the respected Mrs. Dean of the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, Prof. Dr. Duha Bashir Abdullah, the esteemedon Wednesday 22/2/2023, the College of Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Mosul discussed the master’s thesis for the student (AbdulRahman Mustafa Ali Al-Shabki) ), under the supervision of Associate Prof. Dr. Nada NimaSalimThe thesis submitted by the student deals with the design of a system for classifying software requirements using deep learningSoftware engineering is defined as a systematic, systematic approach used in the design, development, and maintenance of software and provides analysis of customer requirements and design in order to meet those requirements. The focus of this thesis is to create a system consisting of two models, the first model is the binary classification model, through which textual requirements written in natural language are classified into functional requirements and non-functional requirements, while the second model is the multiple classification model through which software requirements are classified into functional requirements and ten Categories of non-functional requirements. The thesis aims to build a proposed system to automatically classify the requirements of textual software written in natural languages using the techniques and features of natural language processing and deep machine learning into functional and non-functional categories in order to assist software engineers in choosing a category or category of requirement because of its importance in requirements engineering, which is considered the most important stage in Building and developing software. The scientific committee included the following members:Associate Prof. Dr. AsmaaYassinHamo (University of Mosul) – ChairmanAssociate Prof. Dr. Baida Ibrahim Khalil (University of Mosul) – MemberAssociate Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abdul Muttalib Muhammad (University of Nineveh) – MemberAssociate Prof. Dr. Nada NematSalim (University of Mosul) – /member and supervisor
